These Rider Terms form the agreement between you and ChopNow, a product of Megatek Digital Solutions Ltd ("ChopNow", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the ChopNow Rider app and your delivery activity on the platform.
Rider access is available only in the ChopNow Rider app. You apply and sign in there; there is no website access for riders. By applying, signing in, or accepting deliveries, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
To be eligible to ride on ChopNow, you must:
Approval also requires a mandatory set of documents submitted in the app. You must provide:
After you submit these, a ChopNow admin must review and approve your application before you can take deliveries. We may require additional review where needed for safety, fraud prevention, or compliance.
Your rider account is for your personal use only. You are responsible for keeping it accurate and for what happens under it.
Once approved, ChopNow issues you a Rider ID card. Carry it and present it when required. Your Rider ID card is invalidated if your rider access ends for any reason.
You choose when you work. When you are available, ChopNow may offer you deliveries, and you can accept or decline them.
Pickup is normally verified by the vendor against your pickup code when you collect the order. If the vendor cannot verify the pickup within a short grace period, you may self-attest that you have collected the order.
A self-attested pickup is recorded as unverified and may be reviewed by ChopNow. You must never misuse pickup codes, self-attest a pickup you did not actually make, or record a pickup that did not happen.
Care for the order while it is in your possession and handle it responsibly in transit. You complete a delivery by entering the customer's delivery confirmation code at handoff. This code is the point of completion for the delivery, except when an order is closed as undelivered after the waiting timer.
When nobody collects an order. If you arrive and cannot reach the recipient, tap "Nobody answered" in the app. This starts a waiting timer of 15 minutes, which ChopNow may extend by up to 10 minutes, and we will try to reach the customer. Stay at the delivery location while the timer runs. If the customer comes out, tap "Customer is here" and complete the delivery with their code as normal. If the timer ends and no one has collected the order, the order is closed as undelivered (for some orders, after a ChopNow review) and your delivery fee is credited as if it were delivered, or paid to your agency if you ride for one. Do not return the food to the restaurant; you may keep it or dispose of it safely. Reporting that nobody answered when you have not arrived or have not tried to reach the customer is misuse and may lead to suspension.
For each delivery you complete, you are credited a fixed rider fee that ChopNow sets for that pickup-to-drop-off route. ChopNow keeps the remainder of the delivery charge the customer paid as a platform delivery fee, so you do not receive the full delivery fee the customer was charged.
To withdraw your earnings, add and verify a payout bank account and keep a verified email on file. Each withdrawal request is confirmed with an email OTP.
Customer addresses, phone numbers, and order details are shared with you only so you can complete the delivery. Use them for that purpose only. Do not retain, copy, share, or misuse customer information, and do not use it for harassment, spam, or off-platform solicitation.
Platform support tools, ID tools, and delivery workflow features must be used only for genuine operational needs. ChopNow processes personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
You operate on ChopNow as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent, or partner of ChopNow or Megatek Digital Solutions Ltd. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship. You decide when and how much you work, and you are responsible for your own vehicle, running costs, and any taxes or contributions arising from your earnings.
ChopNow may investigate rider conduct and may issue warnings, restrict access, hold or freeze withdrawals, suspend the account, or permanently remove rider access where fraud, safety issues, repeated non-performance, or policy violations are identified.
Effective date: 19 September 2026.
We may update these Rider Terms from time to time to support platform operations, and the current version always governs. Where a change is material, we will notify you in-app or by email. If you continue to use your rider account after an update takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
These Rider Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts. Personal data is handled in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, under the oversight of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
